DATES: Thursdays 6/22 - 8/10/17.
Cooperative Parenting classes are for parents who are either divorced or in the process of divorcing. The class focuses on reducing parental conflict, and addresses the factors that influence children’s post-divorce adjustment. Divorce is hard on everyone involved, but with proper education, parents are better able to work together and focus on the best interest of the children. Parenting is forever—family relationships do not disappear when a marriage ends in separation or divorce.
The Goals of the Program
- Assist parents in shifting their roles from former spouses to co-parents
- Educate parents about children’s issues with divorce
- Educate parents regarding the impact of parental conflict on their children’s development
- Teach parents anger management, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
$265.00 per person or $325.00 per couple for individual and new spouse/partner.
